On this course you will be taught multiple ways of how to preserve your flowers. The course will begin with a walk and a forage through the woodlands and the fields nearby. The do's and dont's of what you can and can't forage. How you can preserve what you have foraged with the use of silica sand, how to air dry flowers (which flowers work better than others) and how to flower press your flowers.
You will be shown examples of flowers that have been air dried, using silica sand and that have been pressed. There will also be a demonstration of floral casting. You will get to make your very own dome arrangement with the use of floristry mechanics and your very own pressed flower frame.
All materials will be provided and you will be able to take home the arrangements you make.
*Flowers provided in the course will be at the florists choice and subject to availability.
Light refreshments are provided.
Plenty of opportunities to photograph your work to start building your portfolio.

I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (an apron shall be available to wear).
